In the fall of 2012, while completing my undergraduate career at the University of Florida, I accepted an event services internship with Bridgestone Arena and the Nashville Predators in Nashville, Tennessee. After falling in love with Nashville and the industry that the city had to offer, I knew I eventually had to get back. While beginning my professional career as an event coordinator at the University of Florida, I looked into the graduate program at Belmont University which I learned about during my internship. As the only master's program in the city I realized there was a great opportunity with the sports team around and the program offered a hands-on heavy internship based program which interested me. When beginning the program I set goals to learn as much as possible about the industry including professional, collegiate and non-profit sports career opportunities. Upon completion of the program in May 2015, I hope to find a career blending my previous event management experience with campus recreation, which I have developed a passion for during my two year graduate assistantship. I look forward to continuing to develop my skills garnered during my time in Belmont's MSA program, which I am proud to have been a part of!
